Skill Packages

Skill sets are all very similar: they are 10 points each, and grant either a talent that gives a broad bonus to all skills listed, or three skills from a list. The three skills from a list are listed at what one level will give you. Taking them again will add 1 to that number. Taking them in half levels gives you the skill at -1.

Each Skill set is listed as 'broad' or 'focused'. This reflects the typical use of the skills, and how good they are at replacing each other. A narrow skill set is best used by advancing one main skill and a couple backups, while for a broad set you want to get several of them and advance them together.

Each Skill set is also listed as 'DX', 'IQ' or 'Mixed'. If you have two skills sets that match, you can instead raise that attribute.

Basic Combat
Your combat training has been minimal, but you have been trained. No universal bonus is available. If you are assigned to take this trait you should get skills from each of the categories you do not already have. Its also suggested that for Hand to hand that you try to get a striking and a grappling skill. Remember the 'two for -1' rule!
